Haunt Work Background
Cole Rixner has been in the homegrown haunt business since he was enamored with the functioning and science behind the haunted attraction industry. Cole started out in his basement as a 10-year-old where he would make a haunted house out of household tables, chairs, and blankets and a fog machine his parents got him for his birthday. After years of having family relatives and his little brother crawl through his fun theatrical creations, he moved his attraction to the garage and had friends perform in his garage during the Halloween season. Due to his nonstop creativity and above average scares for a garage haunt, his small 2 car garage saw over 300 people run through it screaming every Halloween.
After years of neighbors and even people from across town waiting in line to come through his creation, Cole took up a job as a Scare Zone Manager at the inaugural “Phantom Fall Fest” at Iowa’s largest theme park. This brand-new popular attraction saw over 10,000 people during some of its peak nights. During the same time, he was offered a job to perform in Iowa’s premier and most horrifying haunted attraction in downtown Des Moines “The Slaughterhouse”. Of course this just solidified his absolute love for haunt acting and haunted attractions, and he intends to grow and share his skills with as many top haunts as he can work with.
